LSCM Industry Seminar on RFID Technologies for Mobile / Location-based Applications
29 February 2012

The LSCM R&D Centre had organised its first industry focused seminar aiming to update industry practitioners, researchers and technology providers the latest RFID technologies for mobile / location-based applications. The overall architecture framework and logistics application of low-cost versatile tracking device and technology were introduced by Professor Victor Li, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of the University of Hong Kong, followed by a technical presentation by Dr. Terry Ye, Research and Technology Development Director of the LSCM R&D Centre on the overview of lightweight RFID reader chip for NFC and mobile applications. The rest of the seminar included introduction to the opportunities in technology transfer partnership with the LSCM R&D Centre, tour to the showroom and an open floor discussion. We have received encouraging feedback that would further guide us to address the industry requirements in RFID technologies research and development.
