A Lightweight, EnergyHarvesting, Personalized Exoskeleton for Logistics and Eldercare Workers

Print

Overview

The demand for assistive exoskeletons in logistics and elderly care is steadily increasing, yet current products remain bulky with short service time, one-size-fits none control, and lack adaptability. This project has three objectives: 1) to develop a lightweight exoskeleton with energy harvesting mechanism; 2) to design personalized algorithms based on taskspecific control strategies; and 3) to implement modular designs tailored to the needs of logistics workers and caregivers. We have established a highly complementary team with expertise spanning mechanical design, algorithm development, system integration, and human–machine interaction. The project is expected to break through key barriers hindering the adoption of exoskeleton technology and open commercialization opportunities in the Greater Bay Area.
