Port Community System (PCS)
With the support of the Hong Kong Transport and Logistics Bureau, LSCM has initiated the Smart Port project, utilizing digital technology to transform information from various sources owned by independent operators into digital data.   The Smart Port project consists of two key components: the Port Community System (PCS) and the Cross-border System. The PCS provides global tracking and tracing services, allowing users to monitor the movement of containers from the origin to the destination. It also issues alerts to users in case of abnormal operations. The Cross-border System provides cross-border customs clearance information to importers and exporters.

UHF RFID detachable tag and traffic antenna technologies
LSCM has developed a combination-type wireless RFID tag for road toll collection systems. The system consists of a wireless RFID identification card and a card slot. The driver's personal road toll account information is stored in the independent wireless RFID identification card. When the user inserts the wireless RFID identification card into the card slot, it can extend the reading distance to over six meters. In conjunction with the HKeToll, the system can simultaneously collect data on both the driver and the vehicle as they pass through tunnels. LSCM has conducted trials of this system in collaboration with the Transport Department.

Human-Robot Direct Tactile Interaction System
LSCM has developed a Electronic Power Assist Trolley System equipped with intuitive control features. Sensors are integrated into the handles of the trolley. The control method of this electric handcart is no different from traditional handcarts, as it does not require additional buttons, joysticks, or controllers. Users do not need prior training and can easily handle the handcart even when loaded with heavy objects. LSCM has collaborated with a professional cleaning service company and a public utility company to complete the trial of the system.

IoT Platform Infrastructure for Tele-practice Applications of HKCSS
LSCM has developed a remote rehabilitation training platform system, which serves as an integrated platform for various types of remote rehabilitation training systems and vital sign monitoring devices. Through the infrastructure of Internet of Things (IoT) sensors, the platform can gather more data, such as physiological indicators, enabling therapists to access more information for assessment and monitoring of users' rehabilitation progress. This allows for the provision of more effective treatment plans. Additionally, users can engage in training at their own convenience, regardless of their geographical location. LSCM is currently collaborating with the Hong Kong Council of Social Service to trial the system.

Next-generation Imaging Technologies of Rapid Leakage Diagnosis of Underground High-Pressure and Large Water Mains in Carriageway
LSCM collaborates with the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and with the support of the Water Supplies Department, has developed a new generation imaging technology coupled with machine learning-based change detection and pattern recognition solutions. These advancements aim to rapidly detect leaks in high-pressure water pipes buried beneath roadways. Currently, this detection technology is being tested at Q-Leak Center of the Water Supplies Department to establish detection sensitivity and specificity levels for different leak severity levels.

A multi sensor platform for predictive analytics and real time junction traffic signal control
LSCM has developed a vehicle detection and alert system aimed at improving traffic flow. This system controls traffic signals based on real-time traffic conditions. By utilizing detection technology installed alongside roadways, the system determines the traffic flow and connects with traditional traffic signal systems. It incorporates an artificial intelligence system to automatically calculate the optimal green light duration, thereby facilitating traffic management. LSCM has completed the system trial with Transport Department.
