Trial: Outdoor IoT Sensing Network and Data Management Platform For Site-specific Tree Management
LSCM has developed a system “Outdoor IoT Sensing Network and Data Management Platform for Tree Management” to continuously monitor the stability of trees under various weather conditions and enable prompt actions when alerts are issued, thus improving tree management work. The mechanism monitors the stability of trees as determined by the tilt angle and directional data collected by sensing devices. With deep analysis of the data collected, trees with potential risks can be identified and the impact from varying levels of temperature, rain and wind speeds can be observed. LSCM has completed the system trial with the Greening, Landscape and Tree Management Section of the Development Bureau.

Trial: Integration of DInSAR and SAR Offset Tracking Technologies for Large Deformation Monitoring of Hong Kong Boundary Crossing Facilities
LSCM has cooperated with the Chinese University of Hong Kong and a private company to apply cutting-edge InSAR technologies to develop a new generation of InSAR deformation monitoring method in order to effectively diagnose urban infrastructural safety and establish the “InSAR Deformation Analysis Technologies ”. This project optimizes data pre-processing parameters based on prior geographic knowledge and improves automatic processing capabilities. The project has also developed a new framework for structural safety evaluation, including time-series deformation and identify deformation patterns based on deep learning methods. A user-friendly interface based on 3D models has been developed for users to display, query, compare and analyze large amounts of deformation data in near real-time.LSCM has tested this system in a large government inflastructure.

Trial: e-Cheque Payment and Food Safety on Crossboundary Vegetable Trading
LSCM has developed a “e-Cheque Payment and Food Safety on Crossboundary Vegetable Trading platform” to achieve efficient cross-boundary trade facilitation and safety control of the vegetable supplies in Hong Kong come from the Mainland. The system collects data, such as trading data, logistic data, farm accreditation information, buyer/ seller rating etc., to build a food tracing and safety control management platform. LSCM has built an e-cheque portal to issue and deposit cross-boundary e-cheques to facilitate online trading and payment. LSCM has tested the system with the Vegetable Marketing Organization and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.
