Delegation visit from The Japan Consulate
The Japan Consulate visited LSCM's Cyberport office on June 21, 2019. Technological demonstrations were presented to the attendees, to name a few, Mr. Yoshiike (Consul, Consulate-General of Japan), Mr. Yagyu (Secretary General, The HK Japanese Chamber), Mr. Fujimoto, and Mr. CH Wong. Projects such as the RFID Blind Cane Navigation System for the Visually Impaired, Infrared Thermal Safety System, and Baby Tag were showcased. LSCM had a fruitful session with the Japan Consulate while the most recent developments were demonstrated.

EMSD - I&T Seminar cum MOC Signing Ceremony
The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) signed a memorandum of co-operation (MOC) with five local universities and seven research institutions to establish a strategic partnership to support the application of innovation and technology (I&T) in government departments so as to improve their services and enhance efficiency. LSCM is pleased to participate in the signing of this MOC.
LSCM also showcased Smart Traffic Control System, RFID Enabled Sensing Technologies and RFID Alarm Sensing System at the event.

Director of Electrical & Mechanical Services visits LSCM
Director of Electrical & Mechanical Services, Mr. Alfred Sit, and his team members visited LSCM's Cyberport office on June 6th, 2019. Demonstrations of LSCM's latest technologies were shown to the EMSD team, such as a RFID Blind Cane Navigation System for the visually impaired, AI-enabled Elderly Call Caring System, Virtual Reality Technology for Training Applications, Blockchain Technology for Track and Trace, Multiple Autonomous Guided Vehicles (AGV) in warehouse, IOT security and many more. Both LSCM and EMSD teams had a fruitful discussion on technology development and application.

Delegation visit from Hong Kong Electronics & Technologies Association (HKETA)
Around 20 members from the HKETA visited LSCM’s Cyberport office on 24 April 2019.The latest projects of LSCM were introduced to the guests, followed by the demonstration of various technologies including the RFID-tagged Vest and Gate Door System, Infrared Thermal Sensing Safety Alert System for the Elderly, Service Logging and Information Kiosk System, RFID Asset Management System, RFID Blind Cane Navigation System and the Virtual Reality (VR) System for Strategic Operation Training, etc. Lastly, the information of different funding programmes was provided to the guests.

Internet Economy Summit 2019
The Internet Economy Summit 2019 was held on 15-16 April 2019 at the Convention Hall of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Our Director in Research & Technology Development, Dr Frank Tong, was invited to be a panel speaker in the Chamber Forumon 15 April 2019. Dr Tong had a discussion on “Digital Supply Chain Reshaping the Ecosystem of New Commerce” with other panel speakers. . He shared his views on how the digital supply chain and new technologies are going to help companies to increase work efficiency, enhance customer satisfaction, lower the operation costs and improve their current operations.

ICT Expo 2019
LSCM participated in the International ICT Expo 2019 from 13 to 16 April , which was organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (TDC).The theme of event was “Smart City • Smart Living”. LSCM showcased the Pi: A Smart Construction Quality Management System, Smart Traffic Control System, Real Virtuality for Aircraft Inspection (ReVAI) Training System and Infrared Thermal Sensing Safety Alert System for Elderly at the event.
Hundreds of visitors were attracted to the LSCM booth. Many of them were impressed by the demonstrated technologies and expressed their interest in collaborating with LSCM in technology research and development.
