Senior System Engineer / System Engineer

Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, and manage our hybrid infrastructure (on-premises and cloud), including servers (Linux/Windows), storage (SAN), and network systems
Develop, maintain, and optimize our CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI to enable fast, reliable, and automated software releases
Manage and scale our containerized applications using Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
Administer and optimize our virtualized environments using VMware vSphere & Hyper-V
Develop scripts in Bash or Python to automate routine tasks, system provisioning, and configurations, eliminating manual toil
Harden systems against vulnerabilities, proactively apply security patches, and manage access controls to ensure infrastructure security and compliance
Design, test, and maintain robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans, including managing data backups and replication systems
Utilize version control systems (GitHub, SVN) for infrastructure-as-code and configuration management

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
3+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role with a strong focus on infrastructure
Strong hands-on experience with a major cloud provider (e.g. AWS, Azure, or Huawei)
Proven experience in building and maintaining on-premises server infrastructure
Solid experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
Strong knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes)
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or Python
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware vSphere & Hyper-V)
Experience with version control systems like GitHub or SVN
Familiarity with networking concepts, security best practices, and database management
Strong team player with effective communication and interpersonal skills
Team player, effective communication and good interpersonal skills
Knowledge in database, infrastructure and cloud system
Knowledge in Data Analytics and Machine Learning is an advantage but not a must
Proficient in Cantonese, Mandarin and English is preferred
Immediate available is a definite advantage
