The LSCM Logistics Summit 2023, which is the annual flagship event of LSCM, is scheduled on 11 October 2023 (Wednesday) to gather the government officials, industry leaders and academia representatives to exchange their ideas and views about the latest technology development. The theme of this year’s Summit is “The Role of Smart Logistics in Facilitating the Greater Bay Area Development”. Keynote speakers, industry experts, and heavyweights from the Government will offer invaluable insights into the development of Smart Logistics in Hong Kong and its significance to the development of the Greater Bay Area, with the latest industry updates and the strategies for enhancing competitiveness through the adoption of advanced technology.

Apart from the keynote presentations, the exhibition in the Summit will feature a series of award-winning technologies developed by LSCM, such as the Electronic Power Assist Trolley System, Automated Concrete Cube Testing System, RFID Device (Two-piece Device for Tolling Application) and Vehicle Detection and Alert System for Better Mobility, etc. The Centre’s partner organisations are also invited to demonstrate their in-house technologies and the ones developed in collaboration with LSCM.

The world-renowned International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva resumed as a physical event in Geneva, Switzerland. LSCM’s effort and expertise in technology R&D was again well recognised at this international event.

At the event, LSCM has won a gold medal, a silver medal and 4 bronze medals. The Electronic Power Assist Trolley System which enables the user to deliver heavy items easily and conveniently was awarded the gold medal whilst the RFID Device (Two-piece Device for Tolling Application) which was specially designed for tolling application was awarded the silver medal. The other award-winning technologies were the Automated Concrete Cube Testing System, AIoT Herbal Picking and Delivery System for Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, Vehicle Detection and Alert System for Better Mobility and AI Vision Technology for Heat Source Detection to Enhance the Effectiveness of Automated Hill Fire Surveillance.
