LSCM Logistics Summit 2022

With support from the government, industry and academia, the annual LSCM Logistics Summit concluded successfully on 30 September 2022.  This year, the Summit was arranged in a hybrid mode with more than 1,000 guests joining the event at the Hong Kong Science Park and online.

The theme of the Summit was “Rise Above the Challenges with Innovation”. Renowned speakers from the government, industry and academia were invited to explore the importance of innovation and technology in creating business opportunities and driving the industry forward.

The highlights at the Summit were the official launch of the pioneering “LSCM x Microsoft Tech Platform” jointly developed by LSCM and Microsoft Hong Kong, as well as the Signing of the MoU between LSCM and China Mobile Hong Kong, signifying the closer collaboration between LSCM and the industry in fostering technology development and adoption.

Apart from the presentation by the speakers, LSCM showcased the Centre’s latest technologies at the Summit, including the Tele-Practice Platform, Maxbot, AIoT Herbal Picking and Delivery System for Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, e-Publishing Platform, Adaptive Voice Localisation System for Service Robots, Robo-9, Next Generation End-to-End Healthcare Community Support System, as well as the smart city technologies that LSCM developed in collaboration with local universities and the Centre’s partner organisations.

LSCM appreciated the participation and support of all the guests and our partner organisations for contributing to the success of the Summit. We look forward to more inspiration and exchange of ideas in technology development in the Summit next year.

LSCM showcased the Centre’s latest technology, including the Tele-Practice Platform, at the exhibition. The guests explored collaboration opportunities at the Summit.

LSCM Maritime Summit 2022

The Asian Logistics, Maritime and Aviation Conference (ALMAC) organised by Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) took place on 22 – 23 November at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. This year, LSCM collaborated with HKTDC to organise the LSCM Maritime Summit 2022 at the ALMAC under the theme of “Smart Port Platform to Facilitate Digital Transformation”.

In the Summit, industry experts explored the digitalisation of the industry and the importance of the development of Smart Port in facilitating the flow of logistics information across the supply chain, as well as strengthening Hong Kong’s position as an international logistics hub. LSCM also signed a MoU with OnePort Limited to initiate the collaboration between the two organisations in the development of the Smart Port Platform.

At the event, LSCM has showcased several logistics technologies developed by the Centre to let the industry practitioners learn more about the available technologies that they could adopt to enhance efficiency and productivity, namely Tele-Control Warehouse Stackers Using 5G, Follow-me Robot and Maxbot.
Miss Pamela Lam, JP, Deputy Secretary for Transport & Logistics, Transport and Logistics Bureau, The Government of the HKSAR, attended the Summit to meet the industry practitioners. LSCM signed a MoU with OnePort Limited to initiate the collaboration of the two organisations in the development of the Smart Port Platform.
Mr Paul Chan, GBM, GBS, MH, JP, Financial Secretary, The Government of the HKSAR, visited the LSCM booth to learn about the logistics technology developed by LSCM. Mr Simon Wong, Chief Executive Officer, LSCM, stressed the importance of Smart Port development to facilitate the growth of the logistics industry in his Welcome Remarks at the Summit.
