Visit by the guests of the Hong Kong Laureate Forum

Two groups of guests of the Hong Kong Laureate Forum and Prof Timothy TONG Wai-cheung, BBS, JP, Chairman of the Council of the Hong Kong Laureate Forum, visited LSCM on 16 November. During the visit, the guests exchanged their ideas and views towards technology development with the LSCM team. They also learned about various technologies developed by LSCM, such as the AIoT Herbal Picking and Delivery System for Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, Virtual Reality (VR) System for Strategic Operation Training, Automated Concrete Cube Testing System, etc. As Hong Kong is an international innovation and technology hub, the guests from overseas universities showed great enthusiasm in the discussion about the latest advancement of innovation and technology with the LSCM team.

The LSCM team actively exchanged their ideas and views towards technology development with the guests. The guests showed great interest in various robotics technologies, such as Maxbot, Electronic Power Assist Trolley System and Heavy Duty Autonomous Guided Vehicles (AGV).

Visit by delegates of the Thailand Digital Economy Promotion Agency

A group of delegates of the Thailand Digital Economy Promotion Agency visited Cyberport on 20 November. At the event, Mr Stephen Wai, Director, Business Development, LSCM, gave a presentation introducing the Centre, and also our latest projects and initiatives. The guests were interested in the R&D work of LSCM and looked forward to more collaboration with LSCM in the future.

Visit by GuangDong Academy of Sciences

On 29 November, a group of guests from GuangDong Academy of Sciences visited LSCM to explore the Centre’s R&D projects developed with AI and robotics technologies.

During the visit, Mr Simon Wong, MH, FCILT, Chief Executive Officer of LSCM, introduced a series of the Centre’s technologies to the guests, including the Tele-practice Platfrom System,  Electronic Power Assist Trolley System, Maxbot, Heavy-Duty Autonomous Guided Vehicle (AGV) , and more. The guests were impressed by LSCM’s technologies which could enhance the efficiency and productivity of warehouses and different workplaces.

Mr Simon Wong, MH, FCILT, Chief Executive of LSCM, introduced the COVID-19 related technologies that LSCM developed to support the anti-pandemic initiatives of the Government of the HKSAR to the guests. The guests were greatly impressed by the Electronic Power Assist Trolley System which helps to make delivering heavy items easy and convenient.
