Asia Trade Week 2022

The Asia Trade Week 2022 organised by The Economist was held online on 21-24 Mar 2022. Mr Simon Wong, Chief Executive Officer of LSCM, was one of the speakers in the panel discussion "Assessing Hong Kong’s continued role as a gateway for trade with China" on 21 Mar 2022. In the panel discussion, Mr Wong and other speakers shared their views on the challenges faced by Hong Kong to remain as an international financial centre and the connector between the rest of Mainland China and the rest of the world.


EMSD Symposium 2022

The EMSD Symposium 2022 organised by the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) was held online this year on 20 January, aiming to provide a platform for experts from different fields to share their experience and explore major developmental directions for future E&M engineering solutions and energy saving regulation. LSCM took part in the event to showcase the Waste Sorting Robotic Gripper in the virtual exhibition, an intelligent and integrated gripper with multiple sensors and actuators for automatic sorting applications. The visitors were interested in the technologies that could enhance the efficiency in the workplace and enhance the standard of living.


Solutions Day - Cybersecurity and Business Continuity

Organised by Hong Kong Information Technology Industry Council and Federation of Hong Kong Industries, the Solutions Day - Cybersecurity and Business Continuity took place on 16 December 2021 at the FHKI Conference Room & Exhibition Hall. To let the industry representatives learn more about LSCM’s technologies, the Tele-Control Warehouse Stackers Using 5G was demonstrated at the event. The visitors showed great interest in this robotics technology for deployment in their warehouses.

2nd Annual Conference on Policy Research and Advocacy

With the theme of “Forward and Onward: Challenges and Opportunities in data science and informing social services”, The Hong Kong Council of Social Service organised the 2nd Annual Conference on Policy Research and Advocacy online on 18 March 2022. Experts from different sectors were invited to share their ideas towards the application of data science in social services. Dr Frank Tong, Director of Research and Technology Development of LSCM, and Mr David Chung, Senior Project Manager of LSCM, talked about “Smart data infrastructure and big data analytics in Elderly Care” at the conference.
