Delegation visit from Chinese Medicine Hospital Project Office

On 19 August 2019, LSCM received a delegation from the Chinese Medicine Hospital Project Office. Aiming to know more about the technologies for healthcare sector, the Centre’s projects on locationing technology, AI/big data analytics, Internet-of-Things (IoT), as well as robotics and automation; Smart Traffic Control System, Baby Tag and the Baby Tracking Management Control System, Deliverbot, etc. were introduced to the guests.

Mr Simon Wong, CEO of LSCM, demonstrated the Smart Service Robots which were designed to provide different healthcare services to the elderly, at the visit.

Mr Stephen Wai, Assistant Director, Principal Business & Project Development of LSCM, introduced the technologies that could be used in hospitals such as the Baby Tag and the Baby Tracking Monitoring System to the guests.

Visit of Ms Rebecca Pun, JP, Commissioner for Innovation and Technology

Ms Rebecca Pun, JP, Commissioner for Innovation and Technology, and her team visited our office in Cyberport on 17 September 2019. Dr Sunny Chai, Chairman of LSCM Board of Directors, and Mr Simon Wong, CEO of LSCM, introduced the Centre’s latest development and technologies to the guests. A presentation highlighting our technologies for Logistics and Supply Chain, Smart City Development, and Trade Facilitation, etc. was delivered to let the guests understand more about the Centre’s projects and initiatives. Besides, our technologies designed for the community, logistics, construction, as well as robotics and automation, were demonstrated during the visit.

Mr Keith Ng, Senior Manager, Research & Technology Development of LSCM, was introducing our latest Gerontechnology to Ms Rebecca Pun, JP, Commissioner for Innovation and Technology.

Mr Simon Wong, CEO of LSCM, explained how the Centre’s e-Cheque and blockchain technology could be applied in the operation of businesses.

Delegation visit from Hong Kong Computer Society

On 22 October 2019, around 25 members from Hong Kong Computer Society visited our office in Hong Kong Science Park. To let the guests have a better understanding of LSCM’s achievement, different technology showcases were prepared for the visit. The guests were particularly interested in the VR training on Using Heavy Duty Crane Truck. More collaboration with different industries to facilitate the adoption of our innovative technology is expected in the future.

LSCM’s technologies for warehouse management in our laboratory in Hong Kong Science Park were showcased at the visit, such as the Smart Lifter and Heavy Duty Autonomous Guided Vehicles (AGV), etc.

The guests were interested in our Smart Robot Hand and Eye Co-ordination Enabling technologies.

Delegation visit from Hong Kong Information Technology Joint Council and Shenzhen Association for Science and Technology

Hong Kong Information Technology Joint Council and Shenzhen Association for Science and Technology jointly organised a delegation to visit our office in Hong Kong Science Park on 20 November 2019. Apart from introducing the background of LSCM to the guests, our representatives also demonstrated our robotics technologies at the visit. The guests showed great interest in our technologies for warehouse management, such as Heavy Duty AGVs, Label Affixing System, Smart Lifter, etc.

The guests concentrated on the presentation of our Label Affixing System which could handle objects in different shapes, colours, sizes and surface textures that move along conveyor belts.

A guest was trying out our VR Training System, which was developed for the training of engineers to perform walk-around inspection in aircraft.
