Delegation visit from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Fok Ying Tung Research Institute

On 29 May 2019, LSCM received a delegation visit led by Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Fok Ying Tung Research Institute. A few of our robotic technologies were demonstrated during the visit, including the Heavy Duty Autonomous Guided Vehicles (AGV), Follow-me Robots, Warehouse Smart Lifter, Robotic Effector System for Label Affixing and Real Virtuality for Aircraft Inspection (ReVAI) Training System, etc.

LSCM’s representatives were introducing the Centre and funding programmes to the guests.

Technology demonstration of the Warehouse Smart Lifter was presented to the guests.

Delegation visit from Hong Kong Electronics & Technologies Association (HKETA)

After paying their first visit to LSCM’s office in Cyberport in April 2019, around 20 members from HKETA visited our office in HKSTP on 31 May 2019 to learn more about our robotic technologies. During the visit, the guests were particularly interested in the demonstration of the Heavy Duty AGV, Follow-me Robots and Warehouse Smart Lifter.

Delegation visit from Electrical & Mechanical Services Department (EMSD)

Mr Alfred Sit Wing Hang, JP, Director of Electrical & Mechanical Services / General Manager of EMSD and his team visited LSCM on 6 June 2019. LSCM's latest technologies were introduced to the guests. They were the RFID Blind Cane Navigation System, AI-enabled Elderly Call Caring System, Virtual Reality Technology for Strategic Operation Training, Blockchain Technology, Heavy Duty AGV, and many more. LSCM’s representatives had a meaningful discussion with the guests on technology development and application.

LSCM’s representative was introducing the Rear RFID Alarm Sensing System for Vehicle in Construction Industry to EMSD's representatives.

The guests were experiencing the Virtual Reality (VR) System for Strategic Operation Training.

Delegation visit from Sales and Marketing Executives Club (SME Club) of Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA)

Coordinated by HKSTP, the delegation visit by members of SME Club of HKMA was held on 14 June 2019. The visit started with an introduction of LSCM and our projects. LSCM’s robotic technologies were then showcased to the guests, including the Robotic Effector System for Label Affixing and Real Virtuality for Aircraft Inspection (ReVAI) Training System, etc.

Dr K L Fan, Director/ Chief Researcher, Research & Technology Development of LSCM, explained how our technologies could be adopted in warehouse management.

The guests were interested in our robotic technologies, especially the Heavy Duty AGV.
