EMSD - I&T Seminar cum MoC Signing Ceremony & Green Innovation and Technology Day

The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) signed a Memorandum of Co-operation (MoC) on 11 June 2019 with five local universities and seven research institutions to establish a strategic partnership to support the application of innovation and technology (I&T) in government departments. LSCM is pleased to be one of the MoC signatories in the Ceremony.
 
LSCM showcased the Smart Traffic Control System, RFID Enabled Sensing Technologies and RFID Alarm Sensing System in the EMSD Inno Zone. At the Ceremony, many visitors were attracted to LSCM’s booth and they were impressed by the technology demonstration.

The visitors were interested in LSCM’s showcased technologies.

Dr CH Cheng, Director, Research & Technology Development of LSCM, delivered a speech about the Smart Traffic Control System.

As one of EMSD’s partners, LSCM also participated in the Green Innovation and Technology Day on 6 Aug 2019 jointly organised by EMSD and Environment Bureau at the HKSTP. At the event, LSCM exhibited the Smart Barrier with demonstration to the visitors. Mr Wong Kam Sing, GBS, JP, Secretary for the Environment of the HKSAR, visited LSCM’s booth to learn about LSCM’s latest technologies.

Mr Simon Wong, CEO of LSCM, Mr Wong Kam Sing, GBS, JP, Secretary for the Environment of the HKSAR and Mr Alfred Sit Wing Hang, JP, Director of Electrical & Mechanical Services / General Manager of EMSD, had a discussion on the development of innovation and technology.

The Smart Barrier was introduced to the visitors.

Greater Bay Festival 2019

LSCM took part in the Greater Bay Festival 2019 organised by the Hong Kong Celebrations Associations as an exhibitor. The event was held on 29 June to 1 July 2019 at Victoria Park.

LSCM has prepared an interesting interactive game - the EEG Remote Control Robot to let the visitors experience the fun and convenience brought about by innovation and technology. The game was very popular throughout the three days of the event among the visitors.

Mr Victor Lam, JP, Government Chief Information Officer, Office of the Government Chief Information Officer, visited LSCM’s booth.

LSCM’s interactive game attracted a lot of visitors.

The 3rd Annual Forum of the University-Government-Industry (UGI) Consortium for Sustainable Urban Development

Organised by the Research Institute for Sustainable Urban Development and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the 3rd Annual Forum of the UGI Consortium for Sustainable Urban Development took place in Jockey Club Innovation Tower on 22 June 2019. LSCM hosted the afternoon session of the event with the theme of 'Smart City Tech to Enhance Sustainability'. Presentations on “AI Application on Resource and Risk Management”, “Big Data-Driven Resources Management Engine and Application Tools”, and “IoT Application for the Community”, etc. were delivered by LSCM’s representatives with a panel discussion to conclude the event.

Dr Dorbin Ng, Assistant Director, Research and Technology Development of LSCM, gave a presentation on “Big Data-Driven Resources Management Engine and Application Tools”.

The participants were greatly impressed by the speakers’ presentations.
