Smart @ Hong Kong - Our Smart City Journey Conference

LSCM took part in the Smart @ Hong Kong - Our Smart City Journey Conference which was organised by the Hong Kong Productivity Council on 10 January 2019. LSCM showcased the RFID-tagged Vest and Gate Door System, iBao, as well as the Service Logging and Information Kiosk System at the event. Mr Simon Wong, CEO of LSCM, was invited to be the speaker at the Conference.

The RFID-tagged Vest and Gate Door System was introduced to the guests.

The guests were interested in LSCM’s showcased technologies.

Cyber's Got Talent Carnival

LSCM participated in the Cyber's Got Talent Carnival held on 3 March 2019, which was organised by the Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau of the Hong Kong Police Force.
 
LSCM designed an interactive game - the EEG Remote Control Robot for the Carnival to let the youngsters experience the fun and convenience brought about by innovation and technology. The game was very popular among the participants. LSCM was given a gold award in the election of “My Favorite Booths” at the event.

Mr Yip Wan Lung, Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime), visited LSCM booth to try out the interactive game.

Smart Elderly Home Experience Day

In order to improve the operational efficiency and cost effectiveness in the elderly service industry, CLP Power Hong Kong Limited organised its first “Smart Elderly Home Experience Day” on 25 March 2019. The event provided a platform for LSCM to introduce different innovative Gerontechnologies including Infrared Thermal Sensing Safety Alert System for the Elderly, Smart-service Robot, Ultra-Wideband Activity Monitoring System and “Wheelchair Follow-Me” Robots to the representatives from the elderly service sector.

The guests were interested in the Infrared Thermal Sensing Safety Alert System for the Elderly.

The “Wheelchair Follow-Me” Robots was exhibited at the event.

ICT Expo 2019

LSCM participated in the International ICT Expo 2019 from 13 to 16 April, which was organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (TDC). The theme of event was “Smart City • Smart Living”. Thus, LSCM showcased the Pi: A Smart Construction Quality Management System, Smart Traffic Control System, Real Virtuality for Aircraft Inspection (ReVAI) Training System and Infrared Thermal Sensing Safety Alert System for Elderly at the event.

Hundreds of visitors were attracted to the LSCM booth. Many of them were impressed by the demonstrated technologies and expressed their interest in collaborating with LSCM in technology research and development.

Dr C. H. Cheng, Director, Research & Technology Development of LSCM, was one of the speakers of the seminar with the theme of “Meet the Giants”: Smart Era – Quantum Leap into Future Living”.

Mr Stephen Wai, Assistant Director, Business & Project Development of LSCM, introduced various technologies to the VIPs.

Internet Economy Summit 2019

The Internet Economy Summit (IES) 2019 was held on 15-16 April 2019 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Dr Frank Tong, Director in Research & Technology Development of LSCM, was invited to be a panel speaker in the Chamber Forum on 15 April 2019. Dr Tong had a discussion on “Digital Supply Chain Reshaping the Ecosystem of New Commerce” with other panel speakers. They shared their views on how the digital supply chain and new technologies are going to help companies to increase work efficiency, enhance customer satisfaction, lower the operation costs and improve their current operations.

A number of government officials, including Mr Victor Lam, Government Chief Information Officer, attended the IES 2019.
