Delegation Visit from CLP Power Hong Kong Limited (CLP Power)

Representatives from CLP Power visited LSCM on 12 February 2019. Our CEO, Mr Simon Wong, expressed his warm welcome to the guests and introduced to them the Centre’s latest technologies and projects. Different technologies were demonstrated during the visit, which included the RFID Blind Cane Navigation System, Service Logging and Information Kiosk System, Smart-service Robot, Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Activity Monitoring System, the Real Virtuality (VR) for Strategic Operation Training, etc. The guests were also interested in the Centre’s Gerontechnologies. Some solutions which could help to promote energy efficiency and build an age-friendly smart city were introduced to them.

The representatives from LSCM and CLP Power exchanged ideas and views on the development of a smart city.

LSCM’s representatives demonstrated the Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Activity Monitoring System to the guests.

Delegation visit from LOGSCOUNCIL Subcommittee on Industry Development (SID)

Members of the SID of LOGSCOUNCIL visited the laboratory of LSCM which is located at Hong Kong Science Park on 19 February 2019. Apart from showcasing the technologies which are applied in the logistics industry, government departments and public sector, the team also demonstrated the Autonomous guided vehicles (AGV), Follow-me Robots, Warehouse Smart Lifter, Robotic Effector System for Label Affixing, RFID Asset Management System and UWB Activity Monitoring System, etc. during the delegation visit.

LSCM’s representative explained the differences between the smart traffic control system and traditional traffic control system.

How innovative robotic technologies could be utilised in a smart warehouse was demonstrated during the visit.

Delegation visit from Hong Kong Electronics & Technologies Association (HKETA)

Around 20 members from the HKETA visited LSCM’s Cyberport office on 24 April 2019.The latest projects of LSCM were introduced to the guests, followed by the demonstration of various technologies including the RFID-tagged Vest and Gate Door System, Infrared Thermal Sensing Safety Alert System for the Elderly, Service Logging and Information Kiosk System, RFID Asset Management System, RFID Blind Cane Navigation System and the Virtual Reality (VR) System for Strategic Operation Training, etc. Lastly, the information of different funding programmes was provided to the guests.

LSCM’s representative introduced the Centre’s latest projects to the guests.

The guests experienced the lifelike virtual environment through the VR system.
