Secretary for Labour and Welfare Bureau visits LSCM

On 27 August 2018, Dr Law Chi Kwong, Secretary for Labour and Welfare, visited LSCM with his team. Mr Simon Wong, Chief Executive Officer of LSCM, welcomed Dr Law on behalf of the centre. During the visit, Mr Wong introduced to the guests the latest technology developed by LSCM, such as the RFID Blind Cane Navigation System, the Safety Belt Alarm System for Construction Safety and the Baby Tag and the Baby Tracking Management Control System, etc.

Dr Law’s team was interested in the Baby Tag and the Baby Tracking Management Control System, as well as the Service Logging and Information Kiosk System.

Delegation visit to LSCM by Legislative Councillors

A group of Legislative Councillors including Hon Charles Peter Mok, Hon James To Kun-sun, Hon Alvin Yeung and Hon Gary Fan Kwok-wai, as well as the District Councillors, visited LSCM on 28 September 2018. During the visit, Mr Simon Wong, Chief Executive Officer of LSCM, gave a brief introduction of our Centre, followed by a demonstration of the technologies that are applicable in the logistics industry and community.

The Legislative Councillors and LSCM representatives had a fruitful discussion on how the technologies could help the logistics industry and community.

Delegation visit from Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Ltd (Hactl)

Representatives from Hactl visited LSCM’s Robotics Laboratory at the Hong Kong Science Park on 31 July 2018. Apart from introducing the Centre’s technologies to the guests, different robotics technologies were demonstrated. They included the Autonomous Guided Vehicles (AGV), UWB Activity Monitoring System, Virtual Reality (VR) System for Strategic Operation Training, Smart-service Robot, Smart Robot Hand and Eye Co-ordination Enabling Technologies for eCommerce Warehouse Management, etc. The guests were particularly interested in the technologies that could help enhance the efficiency of warehouses.

More than 20 representatives from Hactl visited our Robotics Laboratory at Hong Kong Science Park.
