International ICT Expo 2018

LSCM participated in International ICT Expo 2018 from 13 to 16 April, which was organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (TDC). Under the theme of "Smart City: The Way of the Future," LSCM showcased “Follow-Me” Robots & Platooning Technology, Robotic Effector System for Label Affixing, Ultra-Wideband Technology for Logistics Applications and RFID Blind Cane System.

Over hundreds of visitors were attracted to the LSCM booth and many of them were impressed by the demonstrated technologies. Some guests also indicated strong interest in deploying the technologies for enhancing efficiency in the logistics and supply chain industry.

Mr Simon WONG, Chief Executive Officer of LSCM introduced various logistics technologies to Dr CHAN Pak Li, JP, Under Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development, Hon CHAN Kin-por, JP, Legislative Council Member and Dr. Sunny CHAI, Board Chairman of LSCM.

Mr Stephen Wai, Assistant Director, Business & Project Development of LSCM delivered a presentation on the “Hong Kong’s Smart Mobility and Logistics.

Science Festival 2018

To support Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department (C&ED) in the participation of the Fun Science Carnival under Science Festival 2018 which was organized by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department on 17-18 March at Hong Kong Science Museum, LSCM exhibited the miniature of "E-lock System for Transshipment Cargoes" at the booth and attracted a lot of public's attention.

The E-lock System for Transshipment Cargoes Miniature showcases the container transshipment process in-between customs control points which trucks with E-lock pass the control point smoothly without repetitive inspection. This presents how E-lock system helps to shorten the clearance time from 2 hours to 5 minutes.

The booth attracted many visitors and showed interest in the miniature of E-lock System.

Mr Wayne Luk, Project Manager, R & T Development of LSCM joined the workshop to introduce E-lock System with C&ED.

Hong Kong Electronics Symposium 2018

LSCM participated in the “Hong Kong Electronics Symposium 2018”, the flagship event of the Electronics Division of The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE).

Under the theme of “Smart City – from Cliché to Digital Transformation”, this annual symposium provided a forum for the vendors, service providers, users, government departments, industry experts and professional engineers of major cities, including Hong Kong and China, to exchange views and opinions. Dr Frank Tong, Director of Research and Technology Development from LSCM took part as the Panel Chair and Moderator for Panel Discussion on the subject of Way Forward for the Hong Kong Smart City Development to discuss technological advancements and future developments of Electronics industry.

LSCM strives to collaborate with industries and communities to embrace innovation and technology, as well as to build Hong Kong into a world-class smart city.
