Delegation visit from Urban Renewal Authority

On 12 May 2022, the representatives from Urban Renewal Authority visited LSCM. The LSCM team introduced and demonstrated our latest technologies to the guests, such as the Deliverbot, Tele-control Warehouse Stackers Using 5G, Heavy Duty Autonomous Guided Vehicles and the Virtual Reality (VR) System for Strategic Operation Training, etc.

The guests experienced the VR system for Strategic Operation Training at the visit. The Outdoor IoT Sensing Network and Data Management Platform for Tree Management to identify the potential risks of tree collapse was demonstrated to the guests.

Delegation visit from Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department

A delegation of representatives from the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department visited LSCM on 20 May 2022 to learn about the Centre’s technologies. Apart from introducing the background of LSCM to the guests, the LSCM team demonstrated a variety of technologies during the visit. The guests showed great interest in our Smart City technologies, such as the Outdoor IoT Sensing Network and Data Management Platform for Tree Management and StayHomeSafe Home Quarantine Monitoring Solution, etc.

LSCM representatives explained how the StayHomeSafe Home Quarantine Monitoring Solution has supported the home quarantine measures implemented by the HKSAR Government. The Tele-control Warehouse Stackers Using 5G was demonstrated during the visit.

Delegation visit from Efficiency Office

A delegation of representatives from the Efficiency Office visited LSCM on 1 June 2022. The delegation was introduced to the various LSCM anti-pandemic technologies, robotics technologies and Gerontechnologies. The guests learned about how these technologies could enhance the efficiency of the relevant industries with LSCM representatives’ in-depth explanation.

LSCM representatives introduced the StayHomeSafe Home Quarantine Monitoring Solution to the guests. Mr Simon Wong, Chief Executive Officer of LSCM, gave details about the features and functions of the 3D LiDAR Bed Monitoring System.  

Delegation visit from Security Bureau

On 2 Jun 2022, a group of representatives from the Security Bureau visited LSCM to learn about the Centre’s recent projects and initiatives. The highlighted technologies during the visit included the COVID-19 related technologies, the Tele-control Stackers Using 5G and 3D LiDAR Bed Monitoring System, etc.

The guests learned about how the VR system for Strategic Operation Training could be applied in the construction industry to provide training to the construction workers. The Tele-control Warehouse Stackers Using 5G was demonstrated to the guests to showcase the deployment in warehouses.

Delegation visit from China Resources Enterprise Limited

LSCM received a delegation of representatives from the China Resources Enterprise Limited on 15 June 2022. To let the guests understand more about the R&D projects of the Centre, a series of robotics technologies was demonstrated on the day. The guests were interested in how these technologies could enhance the efficiency of their company’s daily operation.

The guests were interested in the application of Tele-control Warehouse Stackers Using 5G in warehouse management. The Heavy Duty Autonomous Guided Vehicles was another technology demonstrated at the visit to show how they can be used for moving the storage racks in warehouses.

Professor Sun Dong, Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, and Ms Rebecca Pun, Commissioner for Innovation and Technology, and their teams visited LSCM on 19 July 2022. At the visit, Mr Simon Wong, Chief Executive Officer of LSCM, introduced a series of COVID-19 related technologies, blockchain technologies, Gerontechnologies and Smart City technologies developed by LSCM to the guests. 

Professor Sun Dong, Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, learned about LSCM’s COVID-19 related technologies.   The special features of the Deliverbot were demonstrated during the visit.
