On 17th April 2013, the LSCM R&D Centre will be co-organising an Internet of Things (IoT) Symposium with Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks, Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) and GS1 Hong Kong. The symposium is part of International IT Fest 2013, and aims at promoting the development and application of IoT technology, linking user experience with business applications, and fostering collaboration of technology and its application between partners and commercial sectors.

The LSCM R&D Centre will chair one of the tracks in the afternoon session with the theme of IoT Industry Solution. Dr Frank Tong, our Director, Research & Technology Development will share how retail technologies can enable shopping fun and safe. Dr Terry Ye, our Director, Research and Technology Development will discuss about green and low cost RFID tags for IoT. The event is free of charge. Please register here in advance.

To present the achievements of the latest technology research by the LSCM R&D Centre, we will take part in the annual Retail Asia Expo 2013 as an exhibitor from 4th June to 6th June 2013 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. We will showcase the solutions related to retail technology to the visitors.

The Retail Technology Expo offers a wide array of technology solutions available to the retail industry. The exhibitors include many large international manufacturers of retail technology solutions. Besides the exhibition, a series of programmes will be held including Hong Kong Retail Industry Trade Awards Presentation, seminars, gala dinner, cocktail and factory visit.
