Hong Kong Electronics Symposium 2020

Hong Kong Electronics Symposium 2020 organised by the Electronics Division of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers was held on 13 July 2020. The theme of this year’s Symposium was “Embracing Smart City with IoT”. In this webinar, Mr Simon Wong, CEO of LSCM, was the facilitator of the panel discussion on “Are we ready? (e.g. governance, infrastructure, equipment supplier, …)”. In the panel discussion, the speakers shared their views on what should be done to develop Hong Kong as a smart city.

IFA Virtual Town Hall Series

Organised by the International Federation on Ageing (IFA), the COVID-19 and Older People Virtual Town Hall Series is being held since April this year. Mr Simon Wong, CEO of LSCM, joined the webinar as the speaker of the virtual town hall on 29 May 2020 with Ms Grace Chan, General Manager, Innovation and Technology for Ageing of The Hong Kong Council of Social Service. With the theme of “COVID-19 and Older People: Technology and Innovation as Enablers”, they introduced the technologies developed to help the visually impaired, and discussed the challenges that the elderly people face when using new technologies, as well as how technology can be adopted to help the elderly people, etc.

International Forum on "Trends and Opportunities of Big Data Analytics and AI in the Greater Bay Area"

The International Forum on “Trends and Opportunities of Big Data Analytics and AI in the Greater Bay Area" organised by Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI) was held on 29 June 2020. At the event, Ms Annie Choi, JP, Permanent Secretary for Innovation & Technology, shared her insights on innovation & technology, while Dr Sunny Chai, Chairman of Board of Directors of LSCM, gave a speech as the Deputy Chairman of FHKI to kick off the event. As one of the speakers, Ms Michelle Leung, Board of Directors of LSCM, and other speakers, discussed on the topics related to big data analysis and artificial intelligence (AI) in the forum.

Dr Sunny Chai, Chairman of Board of Directors of LSCM, Mr Simon Wong, CEO of LSCM, and Mr Anthony Kwok, Director, Business & Project Development of LSCM, exchanged their views towards the development of Innovation and Technology with other guests in the forum.
