Dr. Leith Chan has been conducting research in Computer Graphics and Virtual Reality since 1995. He received his MMath in Computer Science and PhD in Engineering from University of Waterloo and the University of Hong Kong. He is the inventor of imseCAVE, a projection based immersive Virtual Reality system, and has led the HKU team to win the ICT Silver Award (Best Digital Entertainment Award) and Silver Medal at the 47th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva. In 2015, he turned his research into commercial products and co-found the HACTIS Limited, a TISSUE awarded and Cyberport incubated company, with the vision of providing the best bespoken VR solution. In 2017, he co-found the Votanic Limited with focus on developing the next generation of VR systems.
