The LSCM Logistics Summit 2016 was successfully held on 29 & 30 September. As the Centre’s signature annual event, the two-day summit attracted more than 1,000 delegates to attend.

This year, with the theme “Logistics and Trade Opportunities in Belt and Road enabled by Innovation and Technologies”, representatives from senior government officials and top-notch industry leaders exchanged views on the opportunities arising from the Belt and Road initiatives. Keynote speeches were also delivered to show the local development of FinTech and eCommerce in Hong Kong on the second day.

Apart from the insightful sharings from the keynote speakers, this year, a total of 23 exhibitors (including the Hongkong Post and the Hong Kong Police Force and 21 technology partners) demonstrated their new technologies showcase at the venue in order to encourage collaboration and expand business networks. The Centre also showcased its state-of-the-art innovative technologies at the summit.

The two-day Summit also featured a series of plenary discussions for exchanging views among the participants. This year also marks the 10th anniversary of the Centre, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was also signed at the summit luncheon to foster greater cooperation among the industries.
