The New Policy and Scheme for Co-load Agents & Introduction of SMe-Plug Software Seminar

 

On 26 January 2016, the LSCM R&D Centre and Global Logistics System (HK) co-organised the seminar “New Policy and Scheme for Co-load Agents & Introduction of SMe-Plug Software” at Metropark Hotel Mongkok. Mr Martin Lai, Senior Manager, Technology Support from the Centre delivered a presentation on the purposely built software, SMe-Plug software, which enables direct integration with service platforms such as EzyCargoTM. Overall, the event was a great success as it attracted around a hundred of industry players who displayed strong interest in the seminar topics and had enthusiastic discussions during the Q&A section.

Mr Martin Lai, Senior Manager, Technology Support from the Centre highlighted the features and functions of the SMe-Plug software to the guests.
 
Global Food Safety and Technology Forum (GFSTF) 2016

 

The Centre has participated in the Global Food Safety and Technology Forum (GFSTF) 2016 initiated by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). This forum served as a platform to foster closer engagement and collaboration among the industry and academia in strengthening capacity building in food safety. The event spotlighted on the learning and discussion for how the food industry can better respond by strengthening food legislation and standards, using of scientific risk-based approaches, increasing capacity and technical competency.

APAC Innovation Summit 2016 – Internet of Things

 

Internet of Things 2016 was the first series of APAC Innovation Summit 2016-2017 organised by Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation on 7-8 April. The aim of this event was to provide an exchange platform on the latest trend of specific technology sectors and ready-for-market innovations. As one of the co-organisers, the LSCM R&D Centre has showcased the Integrated Barcode / RFID Reader and RFID Reader White Cane System on Day 1, and hosted a panel discussion on “How well is Hong Kong Positioned for Industry 4.0 and Intelligent Manufacturing?” on Day 2.
