RFID-based Interoperable Gateway
Description
With successful completion of the project titled “RFID-based Interoperable Gateway for Logistics Service Platforms (RIG)” by the Centre, in joint efforts with the HKU’s E-Business Technology Institute, three sets of technology are made available for licensing.
RFID-based Interoperable Gateway (RIG) is developed as gateway technologies to interconnect logistics platforms for supply chain continuity, exchange between platforms for interoperability among RFID standards and implementations, and to bridge client’s data with platform for service accessibility. It enables cross platform information sharing among platforms that are built based on different process assumptions, standards and information format. It supports efficient construction of interconnections between service platforms for collaboration processes such as product tracking for multiple parties, logistics information sharing, vendor management and RFID platform integration.
