LSCM Logistics Summit 2014

 

The LSCM Logistics Summit 2014 was successfully held on 18 September at Hong Kong Science Park. The Summit brought together some important government officials, industry players, representatives of academia and research institutions, with the aim to share the latest industry development, provide a platform for the participants to expand network and explore business opportunities for collaboration and partnership.

The Summit featured a comprehensive programme including keynote speeches delivered by prominent speakers and top-notch industry leaders, two parallel technology seminars carried out by industry experts, and an exhibition showcasing the latest R&D achievements of the LSCM R&D Centre.

GD-HK IoT Application Summit 2014

 

With the theme of “Smart IoT, Innovative GD-HK”, the Ninth GD-HK IoT Application Summit was held on 13 October this year, to facilitate the IoT and RFID application and technology industry development in Guangdong and Hong Kong, and also to maintain the cooperation between each other and to expedite the development of IoT and RFID technologies with a goal of building smart cities. The LSCM R&D Centre invited some IoT and RFID professionals who were all highly experienced in their own fields to present their works and achievements to the audience.

InnoCarnival 2014

 

This year, the InnoCarnival was held on 1-9 November in the Hong Kong Science Park with the theme of "Technology for a Better Living" in three dimensions, namely Intelligent Living, Quality Living and Green Living. The LSCM R&D Centre underlined the benefits of how advance technologies bring good to people’s daily living, especially with a lively demonstration on how inexpensive hand-held RFID reader and RFID guiding stick would benefit the visually impaired.

China Hi-Tech Fair 2014

 

The China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF) is an important gateway for the world to enter China’s high-tech sector and has played an important role in the hi-tech industry. As one of the major R&D centres in Hong Kong, the LSCM R&D Centre participated in the CHTF on 16-21 November at Shenzhen Exhibition Center, and exhibited our latest invention to the public – the low-cost RFID reader, which can apply in different sectors and benefit the society in various ways.

 
Asian Logistics & Maritime Conference 2014

 

The fourth edition of Asian Logistics & Maritime Conference (ALMC) was held on 18-19 November at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, offered an ideal platform to network with over 1,700 potential clients and business partners from around the globe. A series of networking events had been arranged, including one-on-one business matching sessions exclusively for exhibitors with conference participants. The LSCM R&D Centre presented the technology of Advance Trucks’ Arrival Notification System for Air Cargo Industry to the participants and visitors in the event.

 
APAC Innovation Summit 2014

 

The APAC Innovation Summit 2014, which held from 1-6 December with the theme of “Shaping the Future”, created a landmark forum where leading minds and influencers from Asian Pacific nations could converge to mutually inspire through new thinking models and engage in forward-thinking dialogue on policy implementation and market adaption with uniquely Asian characteristics. The LSCM R&D Centre took advantage of this platform to display our technological achievements to the industry participants.
