The long-term goal of LSCM R&D Centre is to strengthen Hong Kong's economic competitiveness and to enhance its technology leadership in the logistics and supply chain management industry.
The roadmap focuses on three major areas*:
- RFID Hardware and Systems
- Networking and Infrastructure Technologies
- Applications and Decision Support Technologies
LSCM R&D Centre will carry out projects that aim to break down the technology barriers in hardware, software, systems and network design and development. In addition, it will contribute towards the design and adoption of unified industry standards; enable companies in the Pearl River Delta region to deploy the RFID technology and develop innovative logistics and supply chain management applications. The Centre's value proposition seeks to provide a one-stop shop for technology transfer.
